Special Sunday Service; The Place of Gilgal, Bethel, Jordan and Jericho

The process of digging a well is reaching down to where something is. You can have a well of resources somewhere but those resources will not get to you until there is a gateway (altar). Like Isaac, if you do not know what your altar is, just worship. It is in fellowship and relationship with God that you know what to do. And when God tells you what to do, do it with haste!

Your altar does not always have to be a spiritual thing. Your altar could be your morning devotion, worship, giving, etcetera. Whatever it is, don't lose sight of it. When you find your altar, stay with it.

The well that you need today has already been dug for you. As a believer, you already have a well of salvation which has prosperity, healing, health, and everything you are believing God for. However, you need something to draw all of these from the well - Joy! (Isaiah 12:3)

Joy is beyond happiness. It is more than a feeling. is a fruit of the spirit that helps you to draw from your well of salvation.

There are times and seasons for everything God has for you. There's the chronos and the kairos season. In this process, you have to know and understand where you are concerning God's plan for your life. You are at different stages and levels in where God wants you to be. The goal is to identify where you are in order to make progress to where God wants you to be.

The Place of Gilgal, Bethel, Jordan and Jericho

  • Gilgal (2 Kings 2:1 KJV)
    1. Gilgal is a place of circumcision. In your relationship with God, there are things that need to die. Gilgal is a place where you have to shelf off the flesh and everything that restricts you to this world. You are in this world but you are not bounded to the system of this world.

    2. Bethel (2 Kings 2:2 KJV)

    3. Bethel is a place of altar. It is a place where the Lord meets with you. (Genesis 28:10-14 KJV)

When you're coming from gilgal, a place of circumcision, you need to find a sweet spot. You do this by getting into a place of worship, where God is able to wash, heal and help you grow.

    4. Jericho (2 Kings 2:4 KJV)
    5. Wilderness teaches you something, but you have to make progress from there. The only thing wrong is when you let the wilderness get into your mentality.

Jericho was the pathway unto the promiseland. It was a place for war in the Bible, which means you have to fight for it.

Like Jericho, what God has said about you, that move and next step you are about to take may look intimidating, but you have fight for it. How? ( See Joshua 6:1-5 KJV)

Your weapons are not carnal. You're not using your finances to fight, neither are you using your knowledge nor experience. Jericho is more than you, but you can bring down its walls by praise. Praise is exalting God in everything and everyone else. You have to learn to praise God. (2 Corinthians 10:4 KJV; Joshua 6:5 KJV)

    6. Jordan (2 Kings 2:6 KJV)
    7. Jordan is a place of transformation and freedom. It's a place where you take wings and fly. It's where you make that astounding progress into where God wants you to be. Jordan is where you are at liberty to serve God with everything you have. (Galatians 5:1)

In finding your purpose in God, you need to hit Jordan and come to a place where you want it to be all about God.
