Rivers and Wells Day 2; The Place of Sacredness and Consecration (Evening Session 2)

A weak altar will birth a weak priest. Your priest connects with your spiritual senses and perception, however, if your priest is weak, your spiritual senses and perception will be dull.

You must understand the principle of sacredness and consecration with respect to your altar. Talking about altars, an altar is:

  • A gateway to the spirit realm
  • A place of worship
  • A place of covenant
  • A place of consecration

A place of consecration is

  • A place where you are empty of self
  • A place where things die, and a place where things live
  • A term and condition of operating your altar, and it is also an altar.
  • (Joshua 3:5 NLT; Exodus 30:30 KJV)

For an altar to function effectively, there must be consecration, which can be general or specific

General Consecration

There was how you were when you were an unbeliever. Now that you are a believer, there must be a clear difference in who you are and you live. You cannot be a priest with an altar and be participating in all kinds of filthiness.

When there is sin in your life, your priesthood has sided with darkness and perversion. You can't side with sin and raise an altar against the devil. (2 Corinthians 6:17; Colossians 3:5-14 NLT)

As a Christian, you are a priest with an Altar. You are an ambassador of God. (Romans 6:14; 2 Timothy 2:19 KJV)

Specific Consecration

An altar is a place of sacrifice, where you slaughter your will, desires, aspirations and ambitions before the Father, and submit to His will. If you ever win God in a conflict, you have won to your disadvantage. (Luke 22:41-44 KJV)

Don't wait till there's an impending accident before you give your will up for God.
